Who can publish flicks?

You can

How do I get started?

You need to know most of what the Doodleflick team knows

  1. Make a Flick (collection of two or more doodles - )

    There are two ways: here or using the Mac app

  2. Upload it

    The procedure varies depending on how the flick was created

    • With the online toy   Just use the share button →
      The flick is stored on the web browser (like Chrome or Safari).
      It looks something like this (JSON notation):
      							{
      							  "doodles" : [
      								"C56,46 S5,34 X3,-3 -6 Y-27,-2 6,-3",
      								"C57,73 S21,33 X-5,-2,0,1,-1,1 -30,-7,2,-1 Y20,1"
      							  ],
      							  "DisplaySettings" : {
      								"BackgroundColor" : "0,0,63,255",
      								"LineWidth" : 6
      								... etc
      							  },
      							  "PlaybackSettings" : {
      								"TweenCount" : 12,
      								"FPS" : 24,
      								 ... etc
      							  } ... etc
      							}

      There isn't very much text, so it can be stored in a few fields of a flick record in a database table.
      All the author needs to do (that's you) is tap the share button, describe the flick (title etc), and check publish_online
      For publishing, our team will (usually) check that the flick isn't just a copy of someone else's work and that it meets our guidelines for appropriate artwork (amusing, light porn is welcome).
      Your email is required as confirmation (we don't share it).
    • From the application
      From the File menu select Share, and follow the instructions

Can Doodleflick be downloaded?

Yes you can download Doodleflick. It is a client-based app. While you can access it from any device with an internet connection, you can’t download it as an application.

However, you can download your completed videos and presentations. These can be exported from the web service as a file if you have a paid plan. Free plan users cannot export their Doodleflick creations.

Is there an online version?

The Doodleflick toy is here

How do you use Doodleflick?
