Doodle animation - toy inside!

Welcome to the new look doodleflick website

If you are a member of the team, please sign in

If you are interested in getting involved, please send us a message on the contact form (main menu). We would like to hire artists, animators and illustrators to help improve the website, the application, and its content, and also for musicians to provide tracks for our animations.

Otherwise, you are welcome to look around, and play with our doodling toy.

Using Doodleflick

All you need to do is create a doodle, or copy one from the library (below), to create a start frame, then doodle the second frame, and you're done.

Doodleflick will create all the transition frames and start the animation. You can then go back and edit the key frames or select other options to customise it.

It's really easy to use and a great creative app for kids.

Here is an example of how easy it is to build an animation with just two key frames.

Okay, not really. To make an animated GIF you need to save the 'tween frames generated by doodleflick. In the one above I also added the flare manually and faded it out and (sigh) it was a pig frankly, but otherwise yes! Just two doodles.

The Early Bird, below, is simpler - just two doodles and no special effects.

The Dancers are an example of three doodles and a simple fade in effect.

There is a demo of an animation being made on the iPhone here
